About Waffle Menu Guide

WHO WE ARE

Why We Built This Site

Waffle Menu Guide is an independent guide to the Waffle House menu: what’s on it, what it typically costs, how many calories each item has, and how to order it the way regulars do. We built it because most menu sites we found had outdated prices, invented “secret menu” items, or copied the same list from each other without checking anything. Our goal is simple: when you search for a Waffle House item, you should get an answer you can trust before you walk in the door.

What You’ll Find Here

We cover the full menu, organized the way people order:

We also explain the parts of Waffle House that confuse first-time visitors: the Magic Marker ordering system, Waffle House lingo, the 20% to-go gratuity, the Waffle House Index, and the honest answer on whether there is a real secret menu.

Who Runs This Site

How We Check Prices

Waffle House does not publish one national price list. Each restaurant can set its own prices, so the same plate can cost more in one city than in another. That’s why we never show one fixed price. Instead, we show a typical price range based on:

  1. Menus from locations in different states and regions
  2. Recent public menu listings
  3. Reader reports when a price changes at their local restaurant

If a price on our site doesn’t match your local Waffle House, your local menu is always the final word. You can read the full process on our How We Check Prices page.

How We Check Calories and Allergens

All calorie and nutrition numbers come from Waffle House’s official nutrition and allergen documents. We do not estimate calories or copy them from other blogs. When the official numbers change, we update our pages. See our Waffle House nutrition facts page for the full breakdown.

If you have a food allergy, please confirm with the restaurant before ordering. Waffle House kitchens use shared grills and equipment, so cross-contact is possible.

How We Keep Pages Up to Date

Menus change. Items get added, removed, or renamed, and prices go up. We review our main menu pages on a regular schedule, and every page shows the date it was last updated. When a reader tells us something is wrong, we check it and correct it.

Our Editorial Rules

  • No made-up items. If we can’t confirm an item exists, we don’t list it.
  • Honest opinions. Our best things to order and ranking pages share real opinions, including what we’d skip.
  • Clear labels. Copycat recipes are labeled as home versions, not official Waffle House recipes.
  • No paid placements. No restaurant or brand pays to change what we write.

How This Site Is Funded

Waffle Menu Guide is free to use. To cover hosting and research costs, the site may show ads. Some of our “Make It at Home” posts include links to kitchen products on Amazon, like our guide to the best waffle maker for Waffle House-style waffles.

As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. This doesn’t cost you anything extra, and it never changes which products we recommend.

Found a Mistake or a New Price?

We want to hear about it. Send us a message through our Contact page and we’ll check it and update the page.
